The Spanish ibex, also known as Iberian ibex, is found mainly on the southwestern mountains of Spain, it is unique among the ibexes because of its unique horns that bend partially to the sides. The Spanish ibex had 4 subspecies, 2 of which still survive to this day, while other 2 are extinct, the most famous one is the bucardo, a subspecies that lived in the Pyrenees and went extinct in the year 2000, it’s famous for being the first extinct animal to ever be cloned, although the clone died minutes after birth.
